Rank-boosting Link Development System

It is impossible to overstate the importance links play in search engine optimization. They form the roadmap for Google and other engines as they explore your site to determine how to rank it.

Relevant content matters enormously as does your site's popularity. But make no mistake: Your site's external and internal links will make or break your website visibility.

External Link Development

Google's PageRank system is all about links. Small wonder. It's what enabled its founders to differentiate Google from all other search engines, and it's what has given it such worldwide prominence. The PageRank system richly rewards sites with links from other sites. To quote them:

"Google counts the number of votes a page receives as part of its PageRank assessment, interpreting a link from page A to page B as a vote by page A for page B. Votes cast by pages that are themselves ‘important' weigh more heavily and help to make other pages important."

The secret: Link other highly ranked websites' pages to pages with relevant content on your own site. Example: We built a link to one client's webpage selling exotic flowers from another site's page discussing exotic flowers. The link's text contained that phrase ("learn more about exotic flowers"). The more times we can create backlinks for you from relevant, highly ranked webpages, the higher your own ranking will be. What's more, external link placement creates click-thru oportunities throughout the Web -- more traffic from prospects seeking to do business with you.

To achieve baseline visibility, you'll need a good quantity of backlinks, including ones from Trusted Sites with a high PageRank, such as Yahoo and MSN, directories such as www.DMOZ.org, plus highly respected academic, publishing, business, cultural or government sites.

ClikTru Link Development Strategy

At the core of our link development program are the four factors by which Google and other search engines rank sites.

1. Quality  How is the other site ranked? The higher the better.

2. Relevancy  Links to other sites' webpages pointing to a page on your own site with complementary content.

3. Quantity  The number of inbound links to a webpage, plus your outbound links to different websites' webpages. (We avoid reciprocal links because they cancel out one another.)

4. Anchor text  Keywords in your text link tell both humans and search engine what's coming up on the page being linked to. Using keywords in your links that match keywords on the pages you link to is the goal.

Internal Link Development

ClikTru is well-schooled in organizing your website so that its internal linking structure makes it easy for prospects navigate and for search engines to determine what your site is all about.

A good aid for prospects and an invaluable technique for search engine optimization is a sitemap. ClickTru will develop your sitemap in the only format agreed on by all major search engines.

Next steps…

A successful link development program is an ongoing process. ClikTru can manage this process for you or give you the guidance to handle it in-house.

Heroes Always Wear a White Hat

There’s White Hat SEO. And Black Hat SEO. Black Hatters try tricking Google. When caught, their clients’ websites are penalized. All our hats are white – except for the yellow beanie Roy’s wife sends him to work with when she’s mad at him.
